What if you are tying to activate a BIG-IQ v7.1.0 VM and the online activation fails and you get no error code?
This is likely because your VM can’t reach secure.f5.com over HTTPS (TCP/443). This can be due to a firewall in your environment. If BIG-IQ can’t contact the licensing server at all you won’t get any error in the GUI. I also couldn’t find anything in the logs. If this is your issue you should see the spinning icon below for awhile and eventually it will go away and you’ll be back at the same activation page with no error.
